As an outstanding keyboard instrumentalist, Li Wei is not only a master of the piano and fortepiano but also possesses extraordinary expertise in vocal accompaniment. She has received systematic and comprehensive professional training under the guidance of several internationally renowned classical piano masters, including Robert D. Levin, Bart van Oort, Tobias Koch, Sheila Arnold, Ulrich Eisenlohr, and Christine Schornsheim.
Graduating with distinction from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, she earned three master’s degrees in Piano Performance, Vocal Accompaniment, and Historical Keyboard Instruments. Additionally, she obtained a D.M.A. in Fortepiano from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. Her performances have graced major music festivals around the globe, including the Ruhr Piano Festival, the Cologne Piano Music Festival Night, participation in the Ghent Orpheus Institute research project, being the first selected Honorary Teacher of Steinway & Sons in Southwest China, the Vielklang Early Music Festival, and the Shenzhen Museum of Ancient Musical Instruments. Her superb artistry and extensive performance experience have garnered her widespread international acclaim.
Since 2024, Li Wei has served as an Artist-in-Residence at the Greifenberge Institute for Keyboard Instruments in Germany, where she continues to innovate and explore within the realm of musical arts, making significant contributions to the preservation and development of classical music.
